Cougars roll over spring break

The Tomball Varsity baseball team won both district games over spring break to bring their record to 14-3-2 on the season and to 3-0 in district play.  After losing 17 seniors last year, the defending state champs started the season out of the state rankings but have climbed to 8th in the state in the most recent poll.

The Cougars have not played the four toughest district opponents yet.  They have a home game Tuesday night at 7 p.m. vs. Spring Woods. This night is faculty night.

They travel to Ridge Point on Friday night and then have a 2 p.m. home game against Stratford this Saturday.

Next Tuesday, they conclude the first round of district play with an away game at 7 p.m. at Tomball Memorial, and coaches are asking for as many faculty and students as possible to come out to cheer on the Cougars.

Also, mark your calendars for April 15th,  “TIM DYSON night” honoring Coach Dyson at the home game against Ridge Point.  Coach Dyson is retiring this year after 21 years with Tomball I.S.D. and the THS baseball program.
