Softball team advances through district

The softball team beat Klein Collins 12-6 in a marathon 11-inning game. Kandace Patek pitched for the entire game, while Lexie Comeaux hit two homeruns and a pair of singles.

Freshman Kiana Workman added one homerun and a triple. The defense was led by Allie Piro with two great catches in left and Sloan Walker in center with a back-against-the-fence save and Karissa Pasket in right with a great catch.

The Cougars scored seven of their 12 runs in the top of the 11th inning starting with the lead-off home run by Comeaux.

Overall, the Lady cougars are 18-2, 9-2 in District 13-5A.
