Abiding Faith Lutheran Church to open Mornings With Mommies

Toddlers, between runny noses and sticky fingers, are a handful. Juggling kids with grocery shopping, laundry, and kitchen duty can be overwhelming, and day care can be pricey.

Abiding Faith Lutheran Church is working on a Mornings With Mommies program to alleviate some of the stress that can come with being a stay at home/working mom.

“It’s something that’s really good for all kinds of moms, even if she just wants to go out and catch a movie or something. We want to offer that not just for our church members but invite people to hear the word of God, too,” program organizer, Irma Dunmire, said.

The program is on track to be available 1-2 days a week on church grounds, and will be run by experienced mothers and grandmothers.

Donations will be held on Sundays during service for the funding of a new playground set to kick start the program between late March and early May.

The church is located at 33133 HWY 249, between Pinehurst and Tomball.
