Swim Team goes to Regionals

The Swim team will be departing for Regionals this Friday to compete at Texas A&M, College Station.

“It means a lot to me since I’m a sophomore and its my first time qualifying. I have high hopes… I think that we can make it a lot further,” Brandon Scott said.

Scott qualified for the 400 meter relay, and was just one of many members who have qualified for Regionals.

Other qualifying members include Megan Bowers, Bryn Fleischhauer, Madison Riley, Melissa Sells, Sexton Elizabeth, Camree Ulbricht, Alexander Atrops, Andrew Hinson, Abraham Lozano, Brandon Scott, Dillon Scott and Conner Walley.

Megan Bower, a sophomore, qualified for the 200 medley relay, the 200 free, and the 400 freestyle relay. She is especially excited to compete in the 200 free as it is her first time qualifying for an individual event.

“Its an 8 lap race and it’s awful,” she said with a chuckle, “but it’s worth it.”

The team will be staying at College Station overnight and returning late Saturday.
