FFA Show underway

Starting today, the FFA kids will be showing and selling their animals that so much time and sweat have been donated to, to get the animal prepared for this weekend.

“We work together and kids work hard for this, and we want everyone to do good but like with any sport not everyone can,” said Kelly Taylor, one of the FFA teachers.

The students will show Thursday and Friday, and the new special needs rodeo will be held on Friday as well, and then Saturday the buyers’ barbeque will take place, which Taylor says is to “encourage the buyers to show up and give them a treat so they can sit through the auction.”

The special needs rodeo has several attractions for the students in self-contained classrooms. This includes a petting zoo, stick horse races, a wild life exhibit that will possibly have alligators, a calf roping demonstration, a mobile dairy, and a hayride to go get a pizza lunch.
