Online voting begins for Homecoming court

New online voting is a dramatic change in the way that students pick candidates and vote on events. But while the system is more open and accessible, and saves the work of paper ballots, students need to know how to vote.

According to studies, online voting destroys paper voting in schools nationwide. Schools across the country are adopting the internet as their own and are using it to their advantage. The advancements in technology have bettered the ways of communication in schools, and they are testing how the voting goes over.

The THS staff decided on using the program “Naviance” to set up voting and make it available. This new way of voting is more of a trial as of now, and the student body will need to use it in order to get feedback.

Voting has always decided everything from homecoming king and queen to class officers and senior superlatives.

Voting is now open for Homecoming Court and 9th grade class officer. Log on at Connection.naviance.com/tomballhs. A student’s username is your student id number, and your password is “naviance.”
