Review: The Complete History of America [Abridged]

The Complete History of America [Abridged] is the first production Tomball High School put on this year. And the start of the show enters with an amazing jab to Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton with an under-the-breath RIP Harambe joke.

Moving forward with the production, the cast of Gianna Woods, Gracie Gehring, and Izzy Cross starts from the very beginning, even before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and before the birth of Bernie Sanders. Entering into a deep story of the Native Americans, now the story begins.

Going through the Revolutionary war, with a few jokes along the way. Poking fun at how the American culture is very “p*ssed about being asked to do a history report about the country of England”. Act 1 ends with a very hilarious jab at some very well know conspiracies.  Such the moon landing, aliens in Nevada, as well as the government being lizard people.

Act 2 begins in World War I, throwing water, as well as using water guns to splash the audience members, then flashes forward to the Cold War. Then a member of the cast blames an audience member for not reminding the cast about some 50 years of history, and quickly realizes that maybe The Great Depression and other tough topics of American history were not fun to talk about.
All in all the cast and the crew put together a very funny, if not very factual production. As for the first production of the year, this only invites excitement for the rest of the year when it comes to the Tomball STAGE.
