Daily Jams: NVM by Tacocat

NVM

Tacocat is surf pop band from California, consisting of three girls and a guy who can be best described as hippies, singing about topics like menstruation on the track “Crimson Wave.”

You may think that this sounds like another semi-rebellious pop band singing about meaningless feminism, with music that mostly sounds like a mess. If so, you are right.

Every sound on NVM sounds like it is freestyled and has never been played before. When you hear these songs it is like your head can’t really figure out what is happening. The music creates a “sound-mess” that I have not experienced with music before.

When all that is said, Tacocat does have a few good moments lyric-wise, but very few, like waiting for a late bus on FU #8.

I would not recommend people to waste their time on Tacocat.
