Album Review: E.MO.TION by Carly Rae Jepsen

E.MO.TION, both a song and the album title was mediocre. There were no advanced lyrics and as best as I can tell it’s a love song.

“I really like you”. Was by far one of the best songs on the album and also resembles one of her previous hit “Call me maybe”. This was the only song that had a music video and it features Tom Hanks.

Gimme Love was mediocre yet was worth mentioning for its unique techno sound.

The song, All that, is a sudden slow track of the album which tells of a girl who wants her crush to fall in love with her.

The next song, Boy Problems, is the complete opposite of “All That”. Boy Problems is high paced and talks about how she doesn’t need boys and how horrible, manipulative, and confusing they are, yet she likes them anyway.

The final song, “I didn’t come here to dance”, is about a boy she just met at a club and her sexual intentions. Ironically, the song is very good to dance to.CRJ 6

To conclude, I hereby rate this album a 3 out of 10
